The nutrition gap in International Cooperation
We are a learning platform with global impact, focused on nutrition training for health professionals and others interested in this topic.
Despite its relevance, nutrition in the context of International Cooperation and, in particular, child malnutrition, is not often focused on in general and university training programmes.
The NyH0® Academy is here to fill that gap.

We seek not only to complement other existing training programmes, but also to delve deeper into vital nutritional aspects. We strongly believe that health students and practising professionals deserve to know the relevance of malnutrition and International Cooperation as a possible career path.
If we want to make progress in tackling child malnutrition, we need to provide better training for those who will be in a position to take action on this issue.

According to a survey of health professionals linked to International Cooperation carried out by NyH0® in March 2023:

of health professionals linked to International Cooperation recognise that they do not have any knowledge of child malnutrition or that they have very basic knowledge.

of respondents expressed a strong desire to learn more about child malnutrition in the ground.
Child (and adult) undernourishment, present in impoverished countries as well as in institutions in non-impoverished countries, is an urgent problem. Our data reveals an surprising lack of training in this area.
